Lingual Braces Surbiton
There are many teeth straightening options available to patients and lingual braces are some of the most advanced and innovative systems available.
You may choose a lingual braces system because:
- You have a job or an upcoming an event such as a wedding where appearance cannot be compromised in any way
- You want straight teeth without anybody knowing you are having treatment
- You want the most modern and discreet form of teeth straightening available
In most instances, patients look to achieve the most aesthetic transformation with minimal disruption to their daily lives, and lingual braces can offer just that!
What Are Lingual Braces And How Do They Work?
Lingual braces are extremely discreet, as they are fixed behind the teeth rather than to the front of the teeth. They are an excellent option for people who want their teeth straightening without anybody being able to guess at all. Whilst invisible braces and aligners do offer an amazing alternative to metal braces, lingual braces take the discreet aspect of the treatment that step further by completely hiding the system behind the teeth.
Lingual braces work by applying a continuous pressure on the teeth to gently move them into the right position. This process can take anything up to 36 months depending on your individual circumstances.
When it comes to brands, there are currently a few versions of lingual braces available on the market. The system we use at Confidental Surbiton is one of the most popular called WIN, which is a fully customised brace meaning all the brackets and wires are made to fit your mouth.
Taking The Next Step To A Straighter Smile With Lingual Braces
The very first step in getting lingual braces is a thorough consultation. During this consultation and assessment, we discuss your needs and aspirations so that we can check if you are suitable for the WIN system. If you are, we will arrange an appointment for records of your teeth to be made including impressions which the brace is made from.
Following that appointment, custom brackets are created for your teeth, all specially designed and carefully crafted to produce the results you want. It can take a few weeks for this process to happen because the preparatory work is very detailed; however it is essential that we get this absolutely right.
Once those brackets are prepared, we will invite you for an appointment to place the brackets on your teeth. Adjustments and reviews will be made at regular intervals until the final result is achieved, and whilst some patience is required, we are confident that you will be pleased with your beautiful new smile.
